Cheating in online poker

With the recent revelation superuser scandals at Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet, it is clear that cheating in online poker is and should be a concern of the serious player. It's hard to imagine anyone has not heard anything about these cases. For those, however, who do not know, here's a quick summary of the study followed by the security that players must take and the lessons we have learned.

The absolute poker scandal.- It all started in August 2007. A player named Absolute Poker POTRIPPER won a $ 1,000 entry into the tournament despite playing aggressively and dubious. His opponent felt something was wrong after his defeat and asked to look Absolute Poker if anything happened to him. The AP team said there was no evidence of fraud, and sent to the player's hand history as a consolation tournament. Initially, the player gave the history behind only a cursory glance, assuming that Absolute Poker guarantees are fair and correct. But when his playmates also began to suspect that something was wrong, the player started to show the history of the hand together.

That's when the players realized something surprising history of the hand showed letters from around the world (not just the player), which is a serious violation of confidentiality. Most surprising was the fact that the hand history was shown POTRIPPER worldwide charts throughout the tournament. POTRIPPER traps could not have been more obvious. The hand history revealed two interesting points: retired only when someone behind him had a much better hand, and always stayed in rounds with a trash hand knowing that he could not bluff (I could see ).

The video evidence along with the work of the members of the poker forum, made the story come to light-founder of Absolute Poker. The account belonged POTRIPPER Tom's best friend and the first of Absolute Poker Vice President of Operations, AJ Green. Learn more about clean poker at  poker-holdem
